Scullys offers beautiful bath, body, and home products made almost exclusively with New Zealand ingredients. And at the heart of Scullys are principles of integrity and a responsibility to nature and the environment. As a result, Scullys uses recyclable packaging and their products aren’t tested on animals.
How It All Began
Scullys was founded in 1992 by Judy and Gerry Scully after they returned to New Zealand from overseas. Their home was – and is – a rural property on the West Coast of New Zealand’s North Island.
After being inspired by the lavender fields at a Tasmanian lavender farm Judy visited, the couple had an idea. And, when they discovered their property boasted the ideal soil conditions and climate to do the same, Scullys was born.
It’s “the epitome of a local Kiwi business set up out of the garden shed”, they say. What’s more, family and friends planted the first 10,000 plants.
Taking On The World
The early days involved many afternoon teas while creating lavender-infused products in the family woolshed. However, since then, Scullys has grown significantly. Indeed, you can find their nourishing, moisturising and enhancing products in China, Taiwan, the US, Sweden, the Netherlands and Australia.
