WIN, WIN, WIN! Gorgeous Hair with Inverse

Introducing Inverse, the amazing hair tool that uses ice-cold technology to condition hair and lock in hydration. Inverse was created by David Roe, a forward-thinking hairstylist based in Tauranga in New Zealand’s beautiful Bay of Plenty.

The Inverse Story

The story began when David started experimenting with ice as a hair conditioner. His curiosity was sparked when his wife rinsed her curly hair with ice-cold water and her typically frizzy tresses gained more definition and shine. It was soft and smooth to touch and her curls fell naturally in groups. David began to suspect something very unique was happening within his wife’s hair. But at the time there wasn’t any information available to explain what might be occurring.

Breaking tradition

Heat is a huge part of our hair routines, both in-salon and at home. While it’s effective, it’s also incredibly damaging to our tresses, leaving it dry, brittle, and frizzy. In a bid to reverse this damage we use chemical-filled masks and conditioners and spend hundreds of dollars on expensive treatments trying to regain our hair’s natural lustre.

The turning point

David asked himself. Why create barriers to damage, when you can stop it altogether? What if we could restore hair in a natural way? What if frizzy, uncontrollable hair could become soft and smooth?

He set out to dig deeper, exploring the benefits of cold temperatures on hair and keratin. He discovered that cold is good, but sub-zero temperatures are where the magic happens. Locking in moisture is key to healthy hair that shines, feels smooth, and has radiant colour.

Equally important was to find a way to apply ice to hair without the discomfort of dipping your head into an ice-filled bucket. David and the team tested and retested many different designs to create a device that is not only easy to use but removes the barriers of hot styling devices. Inverse allows you to apply the patented cold conditioning system to your hair any time you like, comfortably and easily.

Change is here

The refined and elegant tool that is Inverse was born. Inverse makes conditioning effortless and changes the way you treat your hair. It reverses the damage of heat styling and will end your search for the perfect conditioning product. The best bit? The more you use it the better it gets.

The Benefits of Inverse

Inverse is the world’s first conditioning system using the power of ice. It locks in moisture and keeps hair healthy while making it soft and smooth with great shine and definition.

It does this by restoring your hair at a micro level, giving you healthy hair from the inside out. The high temperatures of heat treatments remove moisture from your hair but Inverse works by locking it deep inside each strand. This gives your hair a silky, soft feel and makes it easy to style and manage. Curls fall naturally into groups rather than frizzy bunches. Plus, because Inverse strengthens your hair with hydration and deep restoration within the fibres, it’s stronger meaning less breakage.

In addition to all of this, Inverse uses no chemicals, no heat, no cords, and creates no mess. It’s a pretty unique tool.

This is the time when menstruation is well and truly over, the ovaries have stopped producing high levels of sex hormones and for many ladies, perimenopause symptoms subside.

Estrogen has protective qualities and the diminished levels mean organs such as your brain, heart and bones become more vulnerable. It’s also a key lubricant so your lips may become drier, your joints less supple and your vagina might be drier. In addition, your thyroid, digestion, insulin, cortisol and weight may alter.

At this juncture, a woman might experience an increase in the signs of reduced estrogen but she should have a decrease of perimenopause symptoms. That said, some women will experience symptoms like hot flushes for years or even the rest of their lives.

Peri = ‘near’

Most females begin to experience the symptoms of perimenopause in their mid-forties. Your progesterone levels decline from your mid-30s but it’s generally from around 40 that the rest of your sex hormones begin to follow suit.

Perimenopause is a different experience for every woman and some women may barely notice it. The first indicators are usually changes to the monthly cycle. This means that for some ladies, this can be accompanied by things like sore breasts, mood swings, weight gain around the belly, and fatigue as time goes on.

For those with symptoms it can be a challenging time physically, mentally and emotionally.

Importantly, perimenopause lasts – on average – four to 10 years. The transition is usually a gradual process and many women enter perimenopause without realising.
